Seven Things To Do Before I Die:
1. Finish writing a novel and get it published.
2. Own my own house.
3. Do something that makes a significant difference to a community. I'm not sure what yet (I don't think I particularly cut out for volunteering in a remote African community as a teacher, for instance), but something volunteery that really changes people's lives, whether it's overseas or just locally.
4. Have sex with someone I love (or just have great sex at all...)
5. Spend more time travelling (including Greece, Vienna/Innsbruck, Ireland).
6. Learn to sing properly.
7. Adopt or foster a child.

Seven Things I Cannot Do:
1. Watch news items about people being hurt or killed without feeling sick.
2. Stop my imaginination running away with me when alone, especially at night.
3. Be near big spiders, especially huntsmen.
4. Cryptic crosswords. My strategy is to guess which part of the clue is the meaning and then brainstorm synonyms for what I think might be the meaning!
5. Complex mathematics.
6. Being around abrasive people or people who make me feel small.
7. Condone capital punishment.

Four jobs I’ve had
1. I haven't had 4 proper jobs, so the first one would be work experience in high school at The Sound House in Footscray, which involved working with school groups who'd come in to use the music technology programs to create music and special effects tracks. It was very fun - music and computers and teaching!
2. Cinema worker at a cinema - mostly doing "Floor", which was checking tickets, checking cinemas and cleaning cinemas. Sometimes Box Office, selling tickets and answering phones. Occasionally Candy Bar - making popcorn, choc tops and selling the food. I hated Candy Bar because I was never good at dealing with money (so often my till didn't balance in Candy Bar and Box Office!), but at least in Box Office you got to sit down, while Candy Bar involved a lot of standing and cleaning and making things, so it was at least as tiring as Floor but also involved money.
3. Private piano tutor.
